Auger Cast Piles (1)

Geopier (2)

• Installed by rotating a continuously flightedhollow shaft auger • High strength cement grout is pumped under pressure • Auger is slowly withdrawn • Can be used as: ▫ Friction Piles ▫ End Bearing Piles ▫ Anchor Piles ▫ Earth Retention System

• Advantages: • Reinforces unstable soil • Fast ▫ Efficient installation process • Economical ▫ 20% - 50% cost savings • Recycled concrete can be used ▫ Eco-friendly

Auger Cast Piles (2)

Piles (1)

• Advantages: • Less noise

• Installed in the ground to transfer structural loads to the ground • Used when the following conditions are observed: ▫ Poor soil at shallow depth ▫ Estimated settlement of soil exceeds tolerable limits ▫ Differential settle due to soil variability ▫ Non uniform structural loads

▫ Drilled and pumped pile ▫ Not Driver pile

• No Vibration

▫ No pile-driving hammer ▫ Can be installed adjacent to existing structure ▫ Without damage due to settlement • Installed in limited space conditions ▫ Can be installed with a minimum clearance of 7 to 10 feet

Piles (2)

Geopier (1)

End Bearing Piles

• Stiff rock columns drilled into soil • Drilled down to rock or stable soil layer • Can be used to reinforce soil when existing ground is: ▫ Unstable ▫ Wet ▫ Unsuitable for construction
