Definitions

• Circuit ▫ Wires that carry electricity from a source to an electrical device and back • Circuit Breaker ▫ Switch which can stops the flow of electricity in a circuit when circuit is overloaded • Conductor ▫ Wire used to carry electricity • Conduit ▫ Channel or tube that carry conductors when protection is needed • Convenience Outlet ▫ Also referred to as Respectable

• Ground ▫ All electrical systems have a wire connected to the ground • Service Entrance ▫ Wires/equipment which brings electricity into a facility • Service Panel ▫ Main panel which receives electricity from the service entrance • Switch ▫ Control used to manage the flow of electricity to electrical devices
