ESTIMATING ASSISTANT JOB DESCRIPTION
Leopardo Companies, Inc . has established the Estimating Assistant position to administer all Leopardo administrative responsibilities of a specific project. It is the sole responsibility to coordinate, lead, and monitor all of the aspects as listed below. The immediate supervisor is the Estimator(s) with additional supervision and interaction with the Office Manager.
1. Prepare, type, proofread, and edit, and distribute all invitations to bid, bid packages, addenda and/or clarifications, letters, memos to subcontractors or others as needed (proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software).
2. Compile, track, and manage all subcontractor bidders lists, distribution lists, or print matrices.
3. Place and monitor all blueprint/specification orders and bid package distribution/shipping with blueprinting company.

Track bids as they come in.
5. On bid day, prepare original proposal documents as required.
6. Coordinate business breakfasts, meetings, and/or luncheons as needed during the bidding process.
7. Utilize Viewpoint for the implementation of Project Set Up and Firm Master updates.

Distribute Subcontractor Qualification Forms.
9. Create project and miscellaneous files for Estimators.
10. Interaction and miscellaneous support as required of project team.
11. Maintain PowerTools and other related database systems.
12. Participate in and prepare documentation of weekly Estimating Department meetings. Attend Market meeting as scheduled. Attendance and participation with TQM Support Staff meetings and other miscellaneous TQM committee as required or desired.
13. Perform other duties as assigned and as needed.
14. Store drawings and other bid documents on the J: Drive.
