3. Make sure you are in Project Management/Programs folders (on the left) 4. Go into PM Projects 5. Before adding a project, be sure a # has not already been assigned by clicking in the Project: box and hit F4. In the Description box, type the name of the project. If the project is already in the system, it will show up below. 6. If the project does not exist, clear the description box. Click in the Job box (shaded one) twice scroll down to find the the next available #. The LCI #s are based on the fiscal year (i.e. 14-xxxx). When you find the next available #, close out of the lookup box. 7. Click in Project: (your cursor may already be there). Replace the # that is in the box with the next available #. 8. Click in the Description box and enter the name of the project. 9. Click in the Department box and hit F4 (the estimator will have to let you know which department to enter) double click on the department. 10. Click in the Project Manager: box and hit F4 (the estimator will have to let you know who the project manager is or the market leader). You will need to do a search for the person by clicking in the Name box and enter the first name, double click on the name. 11. Bid Number: enter the Project #. 12. Tax Code: hit F4. If the project is in the City of Chicago, double click on “Chi”, if the project is in any other city in IL, double click on “IL”, if the project is out of state, double click on “Out/State”. 13. Liability Template: Enter 1 14. Insurance Template: Enter 1 15. Job Status: Enter 1 16. Estimator 1: Hit F4 and search for the estimator by typing their last name in the Last Name box; double click on their name. 17. Click on Save icon. 18. Email the LCI # to the estimating team.
2. CREATING NEW PROJECT FOLDER ON J:
1. Go into J:\Leopardo Projects 2. Right click on the folder named: 00-0000 STD Project Template 120801 3. Click on Copy 4. Right click anywhere within the J:\Leopardo Projects folder and paste 5. Go to the copy you just created and name as follows: LCI # Name of Project (i.e. 12-4712 Saddle Room). 6. Double click on 01 Estimating folder. The estimator will need to let you know if the project is an “Pre Con” or a “Hard Bid”. a. If it is a Hard Bid project, create a shortcut to the 0001 HARD BID folder by right clicking on it click on Create Shortcut. Right click on the Shortcut folder and cut. Go to the desktop and paste it. Rename it the project name. Then
