delete the 0002 PRE CON folder and the other Pre Con Estimate Folder User Guide docs. b. If it is a Pre Con project, go into the 0002 PRE CON folder and copy the Template Only-For Copy & Paste Only folder by right clicking and copy. Paste it into the 0002 PRE CON folder and rename it “Initial Estimate.” Then create a shortcut to the Initial Estimate folder by right clicking on it click on Create Shortcut. Go to the desktop and paste it. Rename it the project name.
3. ADDING BID DOCUMENTS TO PROJECT FOLDER
1. If it is a Hard Bid project, the bid documents should be saved in 01 Estimating\0001 HARD BID\0300 Bidding Information\Bid Documents 2. If it is a Pre Con project, the bid documents should be saved in 01 Estimating\0002 PRE CON\Initial Estimate\0001 Base Line Documents\Bid Documents
4. ADDING DOCUMENTS TO THE ITB BID DOCUMENTS FOLDER (ON J:)
This folder is located here: If it is a Hard Bid project, 01 Estimating\0001 HARD BID\0300 Bidding Information\ITB Bid Documents If it is a Pre Con project, the bid documents should be saved in 01 Estimating\0002 PRE CON\Initial Estimate\0002 ITB Bid Documents
Put Bid documents into a folder and name it Bid Documents (or copy the bid documents folder from Step 3 into the ITB Bid Documents folder).
This folder is used to organize the bid documents located in the Bid Documents folder for the subcontractors. The estimator will tell you which documents need to go to the subs.
PLEASE NOTE: THE LCI BID REQUIREMENTS FOLDER MUST ALWAYS BE ADDED TO BUILDING CONNECTED FOR THE SUBCONTRACTORS.
5. ADDING DOCUMENTS TO BUILDING CONNECTED (ITB SITE)
1. Log into Building Connected by clicking on the Internet icon at bottom left of computer screen. Go into Favorites and click on BOX NET. 2. You may or may not be prompted to login. If you are, use my login info. 3. Go into Leopardo Master 4. When a project first comes in to bid, you need to create a new folder. 5. Click on the drop down arrow next to New (in upper right corner). 6. Click on New Folder. 7. The Folder Name should be the LCI # and the name of the project.
