New Technical Center Facility (Approximate Area: 50,000 GSF)
Outline Specification: December 13, 2012 The general scope of work as anticipated for TURNKEY completion of the project is described within this Outline Specification and the referenced information described below. Drawings, specifications and referenced information complement and supplement each other and are to be taken as a whole. The word “provide” as used herein shall mean “furnish and install”.
A. Referenced Information:
a. Technical Criteria Matrix (dated 12/05/2012)
The Technical Criteria Matrix shall provide additional clarification of scope and quality to this Outline Specification and is considered part of this Outline Specification.
b. Facility Spatial Program (dated 11/06/2012) c. Adjacency Diagram (dated 10/22/2012)
B. Project Requirements: a. Refer to “Referenced Information” above for description of spatial and technical criteria for this facility.
b. Testing facility requires high bay area, overhead cranes, engine dynamometers, fuel storage and special structural, architectural, mechanical, plumbing and electrical requirements.
c. Required minimum interior clear high bay height of facility is approximately 21’-0” from finish floor to underside of structure.
d. Facility size of approximately 50,000 Gross Square Feet (GSF) [35,000 Usable Square Feet (USF)] 21,000 Usable Square Feet (USF) High Bay 14,000 Usable Square Feet (USF) Office / Support 11,000 GSF Equipment Mezzanine (or may be located at grade) 4,000 SF Gross Square Feet (Toilets, Mech/Elec, Circulation, etc.) e. Respondent is responsible for incorporation of all base building construction and process utility construction necessary to effect a complete turnkey project. Respondent shall provide full consideration and anticipation of these facility and process equipment requirements in developing their Proposal. f. It is the intent of this Outline Specification to have Turnkey construction of all dynamometer test cells capable of performing Transient Tests, CVS: Constant Volume Sampler Tests, Engine Certifications (EPA), Environmental Altitude Simulation Tests, construction including but not limited to required process equipment utility infrastructure, bedplates, trenches and covers, mass inertia blocks, pallet rails, charge air cooling, fuel system cooling, engine breather system, combustion air supply, dilution air intake and supply system, CVS exhaust system, pressure relief, under-floor industrial waste piping, sprinkler and clean agent fire protection, test cell ventilation, engine exhaust, engine exhaust dilution tunnel, process cooling water/cooling tower system, underground and above ground fuel tanks and fuel line piping systems, potable water, compressed air, gases, power and lighting.
