6.2. Roof Specialties a) Provide personnel roof hatch, personnel, aluminum, 30" x 54", single wall curb as manufactured by Nystom® or equal as required to accommodate access to the roof area from within the building. b) Provide up to 100 feet of walkway pads. c) Provide three (3) removable roof access panels minimum size of 4’-0” x 9’-0” for equipment installation.
7. EXTERIOR WALL SYSTEM 7.1. General
a) Every other course of masonry shall be horizontally reinforced with Dur-O-Wall or similar type masonry reinforcement. b) Lay all masonry walls in standard running bond with tooled joints in accordance with all Masonry Institute Standard Practices. c) All masonry shall meet or exceed ASTM. Standard Specifications for Masonry Construction. d) Damp-proof all exterior masonry walls with flashing membrane at steel lintels over window, door and similar openings. 7.2. Exterior Masonry (non-dynamometer areas): a) Provide 6’-0” high masonry wainscot consisting of integral colored 8” CMU with integral color accent band of single-scored 8” CMU burnished block course at approximately 4’-0” AFF. b) Provide a swing gate and masonry dumpster screen of 8” single score CMU coordinated with building CMU. 7.3. Exterior Dynamometer Wall System a) Provide minimum equivalent of reinforced 10" concrete block (CMU), solid grout filled or precast concrete or tilt-up wall system. b) Provide full height explosion relief louvers in exterior wall of each dynamometer and gas bottle storage room. 7.4. Metal Siding a) Provide a concealed fastener factory foamed panel system above CMU wainscot, of 26 gauge G-90 galvanized steel and insulated with urethane modified isocyanurate foam core as manufactured by or equal to Centria® Versawall or Versapanel. b) Panels shall be approximately 2.5” thick and achieve an R-22 value. c) Panels shall be factory finished using a Polyvinylidene Fluoride (PVDF) color coat such as Kynar 500®. Color coat shall be 0.8 mil and primer coat shall be 0.8 mil over galvanized steel substrate. d) Any supporting framing shall be field painted to match interior siding color. e) Provide air louvers as required for air compressor, ventilation, etc. f) Exterior soffits will be factory finished metal panel. 7.5. Supplemental Wall Insulation a) Provide minimum 1” thick rigid insulation at perimeter masonry walls receiving furred drywall. b) Cores of hollow exterior masonry CMU walls shall be filled with insulation achieving a minimum R-value of R-7. 7.6. Caulking and Sealants a) Provide high quality sealant with backer rod (unless masonry, metal or permanent material functions as backup) to seal joints between dissimilar materials, at exterior wall control joints, joints around metal frames in gypsum board partitions, at partition
