8.3. Door Hardware a) All doors are to be completed with lever style finish hardware for passage doors and exit devices and closures for exterior doors as appropriate for the use of each door. i. Provide automatic closers on all hollow metal Dynamometer Test Cell doors. ii. Provide electric strikes in all exterior hollow metal frames, type to be coordinated with security vendor. iii. Entry vestibule door system shall use premium surface-mounted door closers (with cover) and premium surface mounted exit devices similar or equal to wide-stile push pad Von Duprin® Series 9 and will include electric strikes, type to be coordinated with security vendor. iv. Latch sets and locksets shall be of high quality commercial construction and have lever handles (2 ¾” backset), anti-friction latch bolts (solid latch bolts when used with electric strikes) and shall be similar to Schlage D Series. v. Hollow metal doors: Provide all hinges, locksets, closer with cover, threshold and as appropriate including panic hardware. vi. Glass and aluminum: Provide hinges, locksets, closer with cover, threshold, premium surface mounted exit devices and electric strikes, type to be coordinated with security vendor. vii. Provide astragals, sound seals, smoke gaskets, etc. as necessary and appropriate to use of door. 8.4. Overhead Doors a) Exterior overhead doors shall be 3” thick insulated, R-25 Commercial 800 Series doors as manufactured by Haas Door® or equal. b) Interior overhead doors shall be non-insulated Ribbed Steel Series doors as manufactured by Haas Door® or equal. c) Provide two (2) exterior 12’-0” x 14’-0” and one (1) 9’-0” x 10’-0” motor operated exterior sectional overhead doors with 24 gauge steel, insulated with liner panel, full weather-stripping at jambs and sill head, canopy, factory provided baked enamel finish. d) Provide one (1) interior 12’-0 x 14’-0” motor operated overhead doors with 24 gauge steel, non-insulated, factory provided baked enamel finish. e) Factory baked enamel finish color to coordinate with exterior materials. 8.5. Aluminum Frames, Doors, and Windows a) Provide a complete exterior aluminum thin line framed glazing system similar or equal to systems manufactured by Kawneer®, Tubelite® or U.S. Aluminum®. b) Window and doorframes shall be natural anodized and include thermal breaks. c) Exterior glazing shall be tinted nominal 1” thick dual insulated low-E units with a tinted coating. d) Glass or aluminum framed glass exterior doors will be tempered and of sufficient thickness to meet all required safety and code requirements. e) Interior storefront glass to be Tri-Fab Versa Glaze 450, 1-3/4” x 4-1/2” nominal, with fabrication for front set glass ¼” thickness. Front set glass shall have glass front set to open office area or to lobby. f) Provide Lobby entrance interior vestibule glass doors and clear anodized aluminum frames. g) Provide 5” to 7” clear anodized aluminum framing for a curtain wall system (if used). h) Use concealed fasteners except for application of door hardware. Include all require accessories including but not limited to shims, spacers and gaskets. i) Provide aluminum break metal where required to match main system. Break metal corners shall have sharp bent edges.
