8.6. Process Glazing System a) Provide acoustic double glazed laminated safety glass rated at -54 dBA STC and rated for 100 PSF pressure and emergency rolling steel fire door in between each engine dynamometer test chamber / control room. 8.7. Pressure Relief Louver Panels a) Provide full height pressure relief louvers in exterior wall of each dynamometer and gas bottle storage room. b) Lover frame shall have heads, sill, jambs, and mullions constructed of one piece structural members of 6063-T52 alloy with integral caulking slot and retaining beads. Mullions to be sliding interlock type. c) Pressure relief panel system shall be designed and shop calibrated to release at ±10% of a differential static pressure between interior and exterior as determined by mechanical engineer. The operable explosion relief vent shall be designed to withstand a maximum wind load of 30 lb/ft2 or as determined by mechanical engineer. d) Pressure relief louvers panel system design shall allow for non-destructive testing in the field to verify that the panels’ release at the engineered / specified static design pressure. e) Louver blades to be one-piece extrusions. Extrusion thickness to be .081". Louver blades shall be equipped with vinyl blade gaskets. f) Provide expanded mesh bird screens for each pressure relief lover panel secured with an extruded aluminum frame. Screens to be fastened to exterior or interior of vent. g) Fasteners shall have three layer anti-corrosive coating such as Climaseal® coated steel fasteners or equal. h) Provide factory finish of louver panels and frames finished in full strength, 70% resin Kynar 500® Fluoropolymer Coating consisting of prime coat and color coat minimum thickness of 1 mil.
9. WOOD AND LAMINATE 9.1. Rough Carpentry
a) Provide wood blocking materials as required for membrane roof areas. b) Provide non-combustible wood blocking as required for restroom accessories, restroom partitions, wall mounted cabinets, wall mounted televisions and accessories and at window heads. c) Lumber that is in contact with masonry, concrete, steel, or that is exposed to weather, shall be pressure treated with preservative. d) Provide building electrical and telephone/data closets to include painted ¾” thick B-D EXT-DFPA plywood panels on rear and largest side wall, extended from floor to 8 feet above floor and installed with anchors suited to wall construction. 9.2. Millwork and Laminates a) Provide plastic laminate window sills at all exterior windows. b) Provide self edges plastic laminate countertops with back-splash and sink bowl apron screen in toilet rooms. c) Standard plastic laminate base cabinets, countertop and backsplash will be provided in various areas for fax/copier stations per the preliminary drawings. d) Standard plastic laminate wall and base cabinets, countertop and backsplash are to be provided in lunch room, (2) coffee bars and in (4) conference rooms. e) Wood base cabinets with stone countertop and backsplash are to be provided one (1) executive conference room. f) Provide (1) plastic laminate custom reception desk in the main lobby. g) Pre-fabricated vending area cabinets if used, shall be Merrillat®, Omni®, Avia®, or equal.
