d) Natural Gas Piping i. Provide all gas and condensate pipe for all rooftop equipment and all building mechanical equipment. ii. Provide all required gas piping for process equipment hook-up including high pressure stainless steel gas piping to dynamometers from external natural gas compressor. e) Hydraulic Piping (if used) i. Provide all required hydraulic piping including the installation of RICARDO’s hydraulic pumps, tanks, valves, sensors and controls. ii. Hydraulic system piping to be 2” schedule 80 black steel pipe, hydraulic fluid and 300psi threaded pipe fittings and to be installed in the utility trenches and otherwise as required and connected to RICARDO’s equipment.. f) Process / Chilled Water Piping Systems i. Provide 4” supply and return CPVC schedule 80 coolant piping, control valves, temperature and pressure sensors, filters, chemical tanks, pumps and other components required for complete system of process cooling tower(s). ii. Provide non-potable recirculating chilled water system and piping for fuel cooling. iii. Provide recirculating cooling tower and water distribution piping for dynamometer test cells and auxiliary process cooling loads. iv. Provide process cooling tower chilled water piping connections in each dynamometer test cell for RICARDO supplied charge air cooling system. g) Fuel Line Piping i. Provide service box outside each dynamometer test cell containing manual fuel line shutoff valve and solenoid shutoff valve to meet Factory Mutual (FM) requirements. Inside each test cell provide second solenoid shutoff valve, manual shutoff valve and fusible link fire safety valve. ii. Provide fuel supply piping into each dynamometer complaint with all federal, state and municipal codes and regulations. h) Engine Crankcase Breather Piping i. Provide 2” stainless steel crankcase breather vent piping In each dynamometer test cell tied to a 3” common stainless steel riser pipe that ties to vapor scavenger duct that penetrates the roof. ii. Provide reservoir with drain valve at base of 3” riser pipe. i) Fuel System Cooling i. Provide chilled water recirculating service to fuel conditioning cabinets and pipe the non-potable return water to a tower water-cooled mechanical chiller and circulator. j) Nitrogen, Oxygen, Argon, CO2 Piping i. Provide 300 series grade stainless steel piping to areas identified in the Technical Criteria Matrix from RICARDO supplied tanks.
ii. Assume (2) sets of drops (connections) per room. iii. All pipe fittings to be silver soldered or brazed.
k) Compressed Air Piping i. Provide complete compressed air piping system including quantity two (2) two stage screw type air compressors with receiver tanks and dryers. ii. Provide single high pressure air piping consisting of 2.5” black steel schedule 40 piping with threaded 300psi fittings with piping installed in dynamometer utility trenches and piping installed as an overhead loop with (50) drops and quick connect couplings for connection to equipment at areas identified in the Technical Criteria Matrix. iii. Drops to consist of a ‘T’ fitting at the main loop with a ball valve connection. iv. Each compressed air drop in dynamometer test cells shall include a shut off valve, filter, regulator, pressure gauge and quick-disconnect fittings.
