15. FIRE PROTECTION
15.1. General Fire Protection a) Provide a complete automatic sprinkler fire protection system for the entire facility meeting Factory Mutual fire protection standards. Provide a complete automatic sprinkler fire protection system for the entire facility meeting Factory Mutual (FM) fire protection standards. Components shall include but not be limited to reduced pressure backflow preventer assembly with reduced pressure backflow preventer in by-pass meter, flow alarm switch, inspectors test connections, alarm check, electric alarm bell, check valves and attachments, piping, hangers and supports, sprinkler heads, O.S. & Y. gate valves, check valves, fire department connection, drain valves, etc., as required for a complete and operable system. b) Design system in accordance with NFPA 13. c) In drywall ceilings and acoustical ceilings, provide concealed flush button heads with solder type fusible element and with factory painted metal enclosure. Center heads in 2x2 sections of acoustic ceiling tiles. d) Provide a life safety fire alarm system including necessary wiring, pull stations, horns / strobes, etc., as may be required by code and municipal requirements for Certificate of Occupancy. 15.2. Dynamometer Test Cell Fire Protection a) Provide “clean agent” fire suppression system for each dynamometer test cell using DuPont® FE-13 (HFC 23) gaseous fire suppression agent. b) Provide alarm for impending discharge and reporting to main annunciator panel. c) Design system in accordance with NFPA 13. d) Provide a life safety fire alarm system including necessary wiring, pull stations, horns / strobes, etc., as may be required by code and municipal requirements for Certificate of Occupancy.
16. ELECTRICAL
16.1. Service & Distribution a) From Primary electrical service transformer, provide all switchgear / switchboards / switches, main distribution panels, single phase and three phase power panel boards, motor control centers, disconnects, and other electrical service and distribution equipment necessary for a complete building power, lighting, equipment and process equipment installation including any utility fees and permitting costs. 16.2. Emergency Generator a) Provide 50KW emergency natural gas generator for Server Room including switches and all required support equipment for generator. 16.3. Power and Low Voltage Raceways a) Provide 480V/3Ph; 480V/1Ph; 208V/1 Ph, 120V/1Ph, 208V/3Ph, 230V/3Ph service and distribution as required to meet all process equipment and building requirements. b) Provide stainless steel faceplates for all power outlets. c) Provide power conditioning (clean power / GFCI / surge suppression) as identified in Technical Criteria Matrix. Provide shielded isolation transformers upstream of each Dynamometer Test Cell power distribution panel to ensure clean power d) Provide three (3) 120-volt duplex receptacles in each enclosed office each outlet on a separate wall. e) Provide each office with (2) voice /data wall boxes and empty ¾” conduit stubbed to ceiling plenum areas for data / communications. f) Provide each copier / plotter / printer location (1) voice /data wall box and empty ¾” conduit stubbed to ceiling plenum areas for data / communications.
