High Expectations To stay in good standing, all 9th grade students must meet the following expectations: • 95% attendance (no more than 8 absences per year) • 2.0 Grade Point Average (students must maintain a 2.0 GPA) • 4 Detention Max (students must not receive more than 2 detentions per semester) Graduation Requirements To graduate from Messmer High School, students must earn a minimum of 25 credits and successfully complete all of the required courses listed below. • English (4 credits) • Theology (4 credits and annual retreat)

Innovative Programs
Get a Head Start on College Dual Enrollment lets you earn real college credit while you’re still in high school at no extra cost. Messmer Bishops in grades 11 and 12 can take college-level courses through our partner schools during the school year.
Classes vary based on your interests, so you’ll have the chance to explore new subjects, challenge yourself, and get a head start on your college journey, all while still at Messmer.
A Fresh Way To Learn WinterM is more than a schedule change. It’s a fresh way to learn, grow, and plan your future. Each January, students can recover credits, explore creative electives like dance, photography, and fitness, or dive into career training that leads to real-world certifications. Need to catch up on a class? WinterM gives you the time and support to stay on track. Want to try something new? Hands-on courses spark creativity and curiosity. Ready to prepare for a career? Earn certifications in high- demand fields like healthcare, welding, barbering, and more. In just one month, WinterM helps you move forward with purpose and rethink what high school can be.

Honors Program
If you’re ready to challenge yourself, Messmer’s Honors Program is for you. Honors classes push you to grow as a student, build college-level skills, and even earn college credit. You’ll explore your interests more deeply, stand out on scholarship applications, and show you’re serious about your future. What You Need To Know Take at least 3 Honors classes each year to stay in the Honors Program pathway. • You’ll need 12 total Honors credits to graduate with “HONORS” on your diploma and earn a gold cord for graduation. • If you take Dual Enrollment classes and earn a C or better, they’ll count as Honors credit. • To keep your Honors credit in any class, you’ll need to earn at least a C. If you fail a course, you might lose your spot in the Honors Pathway.

Private Tours: Schedule a personal tour by calling 414-264-5440. Tours are available Monday through Friday, between 8:00 AM and 2:30 PM. Shadow Days: All 8th grade students are invited to spend a morning with us during the month of November. You’ll experience classes, meet current students and staff, enjoy a free lunch, and take home some Messmer swag, all alongside our Student Ambassadors. Shadow Days run from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM.
