This hands-on class will focus on the techni- cian’s ability to properly service heavy duty wheel end bearings and seals. Procedures for cleaning, inspection, and installation will be em- phasized. STEERING + SUSPENSION Electronic Suspensions 2/15/20, 1:30 - 4:30 p.m. Class #230, DeVos Grand Gallery F This class enhances the skills of the professional under car technician in the areas of mechanical and electronic steering and suspension sys- tems. We discuss proper component inspection procedures on today’s popular suspension and steering systems. Vehicle diagnostic strategies for ride quality and handling issues are a focus, emphasizing electronic shocks and air springs used on vehicles with electronically controlled suspension. An operation and diagnostic seg- ment on electric steer vehicles is included. Integration of these components within today's safety systems result in special wheel alignment procedures after ‘hard part’ replacement. We discuss how to perform this service to restore proper vehicle handling and control.
