PRIMARY SCHOOL

Year 6 Camp Year 6 students had a fantastic time up in the Adelaide Hills at Wirraway Homestead. Students enjoyed riding the beautiful horses, competing in a low ropes challenge, herding sheep, night hiking and getting to know the cheeky goat named Anchovy. One of the highlights was seeing the most amazing falling star as we viewed God’s amazing Milky Way Galaxy. It was a trip we’ll never forget! Special thank you to Mr De Kok, Mrs Voy, Mr Hore and Mrs Thorpe for being our Supervising Teachers.

Possum Magic Picnic The Year Two classes celebrated their study of Mem Fox books by having a Possum Magic Picnic on the oval! We enjoyed sitting in the sunshine together, eating vegemite sandwiches, Anzac biscuits, lamingtons and minties. Some of us even brought in a little furry friend to share this special event.

Year 1 and 2 Fruit Tasting This term in Indonesian lessons, the Year 1s and Year 2s have been learning about and taste-testing tropical fruit. They enjoyed a small taste-test of guava juice and pineapple juice as well as papaya, lady finger banana, mango, rambutan, custard apple, jack fruit, watermelon, fresh coconut and pineapple and wrote their verdict in Indonesian. Special thanks to Rick and Maria’s Fruit Shop for donating some delicious fruit. We look forward to seeing the children’s reactions when we try durian (“stinky fruit”) next week!
