Session aim To take some time for self-reflection

Activity and delivery instructions • Understanding your levels of organisational awareness - allowing you to think about how you contribute to the bigger picture and aims of Anchor. Talk through the steps 1 to 4 of the developing myBehaviours document whilst looking at the examples - then ask them to: • Add their own ratings for each value-based behaviour section • Referring to example reflection page, transfer their ratings to the reflection area and complete the self-awareness section of reflection Facilitator note: if they haven’t completed all sections that is fine as there is post work for this activity to bring to the next session. Regroup and ask: Is there anyone that is happy to share their self-awareness improvement area. Acknowledge their reflections and thank them for sharing. Facilitator note: be prepared to share your example if there are no volunteers and this will then hopefully encourage someone else to share Add: the next steps are for you to complete the remainder of the value-based reflection areas and then create your myBehaviours Personal Development Plan which will form part of the next session. Talk through step 5 ensuring they are comfortable with what they need to do in preparation for the next session, advise that they are more than welcome to work through this with a colleague/bounce their thoughts of one another if they wish to.

Developing myBehaviours Bringing my Best Self to work
This new awareness can support us perform at our best, improving the contribution we make. All of us have developed some poorer behaviours – and that’s ok, it’s part of being a human, but choosing not to acknowledge them or do nothing about them is not ok. So acknowledge your good stuff, but be realistic - it should not all be pretty. Up for the challenge? So let’s do this… • Bring your complete honest self to this activity and complete the myBehaviours Self Assessment • Reflect – what did you find out about yourself? • Actions – what are you going to do about what you found (Development Plan) Have fun and enjoy your personal development journey!
