This is one of the questions we discussed during the first panel of this Meeting, namely fintech. Today, companies and administrations must be open enough from a “Mindset” point of view to give opportunities to universities, research and start-up companies: by adopting Open data, so that they can create value and opportunity. In parallel, the government must play its role by establishing good regulations, which could eventually invite administrations to open their data. The concern for personal data will not be questioned because, today, we have tools that can anonymize a certain amount of sensitive or not authorized for disclosure information, and therefore offer data to people. We should also have an Open data policy, because it turns out that Morocco is very poorly ranked globally on this aspect».
