With over 25 vendors showcas- ing laundry related products in the Trade Show area, five laundry business seminars and five service seminars running that day, the Equip- ment Marketers’ Commercial Laundry Trade Show is the mid-Atlantic region’s premier event to hear and see the latest in commercial laundry. Laundry owners and man- agers of apartment buildings with central laundry rooms have been attending Equip- ment Marketers Trade Show and Service Seminar for many years to see the latest models

of the leading brands of com- mercial laundry equipment. Based upon survey results, laundry owners attended the Trade Show to see the newest commercial laundry mod- els available, network with other laundry business own- ers, attend one of the five informative business seminars held, benefit from limited-time equipment or part sales, gain service advice in the service seminars held throughout the day or ask questions of techni- cians available for one-on-one training. Of the laundry business

seminars offered, survey re- sults found the most popular were “How to Become a Better Laundry Operator”, “What is your Laundromat Worth”, and “How to Negotiate the Best Lease for your Commercial Property”. Some of the vendors who exhibited included ESD Laundry Payment Systems and Heartland Micropayment Systems and US Capital and Eastern Funding laundry equipment finance companies. As always, the Trade Show provided an opportunity to network with other successful laundry operators and indus-

try experts, as well as great food and over $10,000 worth of prizes raffled off to attendees. “The ‘introduction to the laundry industry’ seminar is great for anyone looking to get into the business,” according to Dick LaMaina, President of Equipment Marketers, “Own- ing a self-service laundry is like a franchise without the franchise fees.
