Quality & Safety Corner Deteriorating Patient

Clinical deterioration can occur and clinical staff need to know how to respond to this. At Ryde Hospital we have a Clinical Emergency Response System (CERS) with three different levels of response.

Virtual Interpreters Available The Health Care Interpreter Services (HCIS) now offers professional and confidential video interpreting via all the NSW Health endorsed Virtual Care platforms – including MS Teams . This is a significant step toward greater accessibility and inclusion, especially given the widespread use of MS Teams across NSLHD. Access to video interpreting has never been more convenient.

Video and phone eliminate all costs associated with interpreter travel, support our Net Zero goals, and ensure interpreters are more readily available. HCIS is available 24/7 ensuring effective communication between patients, families and their carers, and health services. Contact them at Interpreter Bookings. Want to know more about Virtual Care?
