Sometimes, when your hips and knees are in pain, it can cause you to change the way that you are moving, causing you to change the flow and pace of your gait, which is the way that you walk. Other times, prolonged pain can cause you to stop doing movements that are indicative of healthy joints. If you’ve experienced any hip or knee pain and are considering whether physical therapy is a good choice for your health needs, consider the following: •Fromastandingposition, areyouableto leanover andtouchyourtoes? PATIENT SUCCESS STORY

“I noticed a lot of improvement from the stretch.” “Before I was referred to Chris, I was having numerous problems with my left knee that had had a knee replacement. I was in pain, I wasn’t able to bend it very far and was feeling like there wasn’t much hope. I was also seeing Kristina for pelvic problems and she thought the knee might be playing into some of the pelvic problems. After working with Chris and his recommended stretches, I am finding that my knee is more flexible and I am having less pain. I understand that I will never be 100%. But I did improve greatly on my flexibility. One recommended stretch was to put my leg up on the bed or chair and pull from the side. I noticed a lot of improvement from the stretch. One of my pleasures is volunteering at a dog kennel, but I was having trouble with the pain in my knee from standing on concrete. Chris recommended work boots and this has really helped. I would highly recommend Chris to anyone and am very thankful to Chris and all the staff for their courtesy and helpfulness.” – Judy V.
