The prophe cies in the Word of God were given that we might be forewarned and, in a sense, forearmed, but they were not given to satisfy our curiosity. The first result of the study of prophecy should be a purify ing of the life. I f your life is not holier, if your testimony is not more effective, if your prayer life is not deeper than before you began to study the prophetic Word, something is wrong—and the fault is not with the Word. John says: “He that hath this hope in him purifieth himself.” —R. A. C. We wrestle . . . against the spiritual hosts o f wickedness in the heavenly Places" (Eph. 6:12, R.V.). If God has called us to share His spirtual strategy in regaining the world to its right ful ownership, it is necessary that we should recognize where the plane of con test lies. . . . Revelation shows how all the last phases of the final mastery will be evolved in the invisible realm before their outcome is manifested in the things that are seen, And we, as the partakers of the Holy Ghost and the powers of the world to come, must come to know as a matter of practical ex perience that “we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers o f the darkness o f this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places” (Eph. 6:12, R .V .: “against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places” ). If we are content to wrestle against flesh and blood leaving these mighty issues in the higher plane unrecognized, we shall come off but poorly in the strife. —I. L ilias T rotter . If only we have strong faith, there is no limit to the possibilities of answers to our supplications. Then every pleading will bring down a heavenly benefaction. Chris tians will pray and will be filled with all the fullness of God. God wants to give us infinite blessing. The clouds above us are big with mercy. Let us not hinder the divine blessing and good by our prayerless- ness, or limit it by our coldness and lack o f faith in prayer. Let us launch out into the deep sea of prayer and let down our nets that they may be filled with the best and richest things God has to give. —J. R. M iller .
