he rebelled against God — are “ re served in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day” (Jude 6). It is a significant truth that God prepared hell, the lake of fire, for the devil and his angels (Matt. 25:41), but all of those who reject Christ will go to that place of eternal torment with them, along with the beast, the false prophet and Satan himself (Rev. 19:20; Rev. 20:10-15). It is a terrible, and a solemn, truth. LIBERALISM Q. Tell me some of the teachings of liberalism. A. This school of theology teaches that the Bible contains the Word of God, but is not the infallible, verbally inspired, eternal Word of God. It robs our Lord Jesus of His eter nal deity, seeking to destroy all faith in His Virgin Birth, His miracles, His bodily resurrection, and His coming again. It denies the efficacy of Calvary’s Cross, substituting man’s own efforts — self-righteousness—as a means of salvation. This can never be done. Good works are important, but they are the fruit of salvation, never the means of salvation. These are just some of the most dangerous of the teachings being pro claimed from many pulpits of evan gelical churches in Protestantism to day. The men who teach such doc trines would be more honest with God and with their congregations if they would come out in the open and take their stand against Christ and His Word. Perhaps they are self-de ceived; we know they are deceived by Satan. And we dare not keep silence so long as such doctrine is being sounded forth in the name of our blessed Lord.

be a great company of martyred Jews in that day. Judgment must fall upon anti christ and so it is in the plan and purpose of God for that day that these souls should pray for the judgment to fall upon the enemies of Christ. We learn from the reply to their cry for vengeance that others are to be mar tyred and God’s judgment upon His enemies w ill be sure and swift. DIFFERENT ANGELS Q. What is the difference between the seraphim and the cherubim? What about fallen angels? A. We do not know exactly, except that they were different orders of angels, celestial beings. The seraphim are mentioned only once, Isaiah 6: 2, 3, and are represented as standing before the enthroned Lord. They were six-winged creatures. Cherubim, on the other hand, are mentioned often in the Scriptures. They first appeared as guardians at the gates of the Garden of Eden to “keep the way of the tree of life.” When the ark was built, cherubim, wrought of gold, were placed facing each other over the mercy seat. Huge cherubim of olive wood were placed in Solomon’s temple, and Ezekiel as well as others mentions them in the Old Testament. There is one New Testament refer ence to cherubim, Heb. 9:5. All the angelic, unfallen host are pictured as being wholly engaged in adoration of the Trinity and in service for the Godhead. They are deeply interested in us for we read in I Peter 1:12 that they “ desire to look into” the Gospel, and in Hebrews 1:14: “ Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?” The fallen angels— evidently those who joined forces with Satan when

WHO IS SPEAKING? Q. Who are talking in the book of Revelation, chapter 9, verses 9-11? A. This is what is to occur when the fifth seal is broken. Following the “ four horsemen of Apocalyse,” John saw: “under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held: And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? And white robes were given unto every one of them: and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.” Here we have a body of people, cry ing out for judgment and vengeance upon those who had shed their blood and taken their lives. Of course, this great company of martyrs is not the church, for the church is to be trans lated before these seals are broken; so this company of martyred people I believe to be the Jewish remnant. When the church is taken away, God will deal with Israel as a nation once more. Many Jews will turn to God in that day. The Apostle Paul says, “ Blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in” (Rom. 11:25). He further says, in the next verse, “And so all Israel shall be saved; as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob.” In other words, Israel, nationally, is to be saved; the veil of blindness will be taken away; and many of the Jews will turn to the Lord and reject the claims of the antichrist. As a re sult, the antichrist will cause their blood to run like a river. There will
