TRANSITION FROM EXISTING TO NEW WORK A.

When new work abuts or finishes flush with existing work, make a smooth and workmanlike transition. Patched work shall match existing adjacent work in texture and appearance so that the patch or transition is invisible at a distance of five (5) feet. l. When finished surfaces are cut in such a way that a smooth transition with new work is not possible, terminate existing surface in a neat manner along a straight line at a natural line of division, and provide trim appropriate to finished surface. Perform periodic and final cleaning as specified in Section 0l700. l. Clean areas daily to a degree which will permit normal continued and unimpaired building functions and operations. At completion of work of each trade, clean area and make surfaces ready for work of successive trades. At completion of alterations work in each area, provide final cleaning and return space to a condition suitable for use by Owner.
