Why I Love the Law A Look at What Gets Me Up in The Morning

With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, many are showing their loved ones how much they appreciate them. But instead of focusing on romantic love, this year, I’ve been thinking a lot about how much I love our community and the service I’m able to provide for everybody in it. So for this month, I thought I would showcase just why I love the work I do for the community. I grew up in the area, so it means the world to me to give back and advocate for those who are in need. I get an extreme sense of satisfaction when I can do this effectively. The look on clients’ faces when they realize all their medical bills, pain, and suffering are covered is priceless, and the best part is that I’m able to find justice for those who cannot represent themselves. It’s not just the aspect of helping people that keeps me going — I also look forward to learning something new every day. The more I learn about the unique facets of law, the more I improve as a lawyer, which ultimately lets me better serve my clients. “My clients themselves make every day exciting because my clientele is so diverse. Some of my clients don’t speak any English, some of them went to Harvard, and every one of them faces different challenges.”

My clients themselves make every day exciting because my clientele is so diverse. Some of my clients don’t speak any English, some of them went to Harvard, and every one of them faces different challenges. Their varying backgrounds also leads to varying degrees of comprehension with the law. The more I understand about law, the better I’m able to educate my clients. Sometimes they’ve been misled by local ads and police procedurals, or they feel like they’re in a rut with no way out. This is common when their prior attorney didn’t give them the representation they needed. I then walk my clients through the system step-by-step, showing them how it works and where their previous lawyer faltered. By the time I’m done with a case, I feel my clients are better equipped to handle anything that comes their way. Since I love my community so much, that feeling goes a long way. I’m so thankful I’m able to give back to the community that made me the person I am today. Have a wonderful Valentine’s Day, everyone!
