flashing membrane, metal flashings, gutters, scuppers, downspouts, insulation, defective wood blocking and accessories down to the underlying roof decking. b. Replace or repair existing defective roof decking at an additional approved per square foot cost. (1) Coordinate deck removal with Owner and cordon-off areas beneath defective roof decking during removal and replacement. (2) Refer to Safety Requirements outlined in Paragraph 1.16 SITE CONDITIONS of this section. c. Replace or repair existing defective wood blocking on an additional approved per linear foot cost basis. Install new pressure treated wood blocking to replace defective wood blocking. Remove and dispose of obsolete rooftop curbs, pitch pockets and miscellaneous penetrations. Install new roof decking or metal plating over opening. (1) Install 1/8 inch steel plate over openings less than 2 by 2 foot. and 1/4 inch steel plate over openings larger than 2 by 2 foot. (2) Lap plate over decking a minimum of 6 inches on all sides. (3) Mechanically attach plating to decking a minimum of 12 inches o.c. (4) Owner shall identify items to be removed (See paragraph 1.05 A #2). e. Replace existing scupper assemblies. (1) d. Raise or lower roof scupper opening to accommodate the new roof system elevation. Adjust scupper heights as required to provide positive drainage. Any ponding water in the scupper sump areas are UNACCEPTABLE. Work shall include masonry work, plumbing connections, and accessories. Replace existing scupper metal flashings, conductor box and downspout with new.

Rework existing roof drain bowl assemblies to be reused. (1) Verify elevation of drain to provide positive drainage. (a)

Verify difference in insulation height between existing and specified insulation. Adjust drain height as required to provide positive drainage. If existing drains are raised above deck level, drains shall be lowered to create sump area if new insulation thickness does not accommodate for a sump. Roofing subcontractor shall raise, or lower existing roof drainbowl assemblies as required to accommodate the new roof system elevation. Work shall include plumbing connections and accessories.

Replace broken roof drain accessories including clamping rings, clamps, bolts and strainers at roof drain bowl locations. Replace broken flashing ring and strainers with new cast iron roof drain rings and strainers.

Clean existing drain bowl components.

Replace existing roof drain bowl assemblies when defective. Replace with new cast iron roof drain bowl and related accessories on an additional approved unit cost. Work shall include plumbing connections.
