END OF SUMMER LUAU Aug. 27, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Green Township Veterans Park 6231 Harrison Avenue VFW10380.org/Yearly-Event-List

The end of summer is near, but that doesn’t mean events stop! You and your loved ones can participate in many great activities near you. With a seafood festival, an outdoor skating rink, and a kid’s fun day — there is a little something for everyone this month!

GREAT INLAND SEAFOOD FESTIVAL Aug. 11–14 Newport’s Festival Park One Levee Way, Newport, KY ThingsToDoCincinnati.com/great-inland- seafood-festival All seafood lovers won’t want to miss this event! Six different seafood businesses will be out and serving the most mouth-watering seafood around. You’ll find scallops, oysters, stuffed crab, crab legs, shrimp, and everything in between. If you want something sweet, you can stop by the bakery at the festival to satisfy that craving. Each day, live music performances will fill the air while you’re walking around and chowing down. So, come on by and try out the delicious food while listening to great music!

COURT STREET POP-UP OUTDOOR ROLLER RINK Aug. 5–7 Court Street Plaza, E. Court St. 365Cincinnati.com/Cincinnati-Outdoor- Roller‑Rink

As we quickly approach the back-to-school season, one last event for your children is in order. This is the 11th annual kids’ fun day at the Green Township Veterans Park, a free event for the whole family. Your kids can have fun in the sun before returning to school in the fall. There will be plenty of games and activities for your child to enjoy — plus free food.

Over Memorial Day weekend, a new event rolled into town — an outdoor roller rink! Although this activity is open year-round, it’s open to the public on select weekends in August, September, and October. The price of admission is $2, and if you don’t have your own pair of skates, you can rent some at the event for $5. Admission is first-come, first-served, so get there quick for your chance to skate. If you don’t want to pull on wheels, outdoor seating is available, and you can even grab a quick bite to eat while you’re there.
