NERC Study on Electronic Access Controls FERC directed NERC to conduct a study to assess the implementation of CIP 003 7 to determine whether the electronic access controls adopted by responsible entities provide adequate security. NERC must submit the study results within eighteen months of the effective date of Reliability Standard CIP- 003-7. NERC is in initial stages of developing further details.
