You’re very clover!

SOLUTION

What instrument would a show-off play on St. Patrick’s Day?

The bragpipes!

How can you tell if a leprechaun likes your joke?

He’ll be Dublin over with laughter!

The Legacy of a Neighbor “Please won’t you be my neighbor?” This month, we celebrate Fred Rogers in honor of what would have been his 94th birthday! Although he passed nearly two decades ago, his life continues to have an impact not only on children, but also on everyone who grew up with his invaluable life lessons. Fred Rogers, better known as Mister Rogers, gave the world a legacy of neighborly love in very tangible ways. As a child, he dealt with many illnesses (severe asthma, scarlet fever, hay fever, and countless others), which meant he spent much of his time physically and emotionally isolated. Being acutely aware of his separation, Fred became an incredibly empathetic individual who wanted nothing more than to let people know they were seen and loved.

For decades, he championed the mental and emotional well-being of children across America. He saw the rise of the information era and access to technology, such as television, as an opportunity to spread a message of love and hope to counteract the violence and hatred he saw running rampant in the nation. Using the power of storytelling, Mr. Rogers helped children (and adults) everywhere learn how to name their emotions while addressing heavy topics such as divorce, death, racism, and more in order to live and love wholeheartedly.

In an interview with Amy Kaufman of the L.A. Times, Joanne Rogers said of her late husband’s legacy, “People invariably say, ‘Well I can’t do that, but I sure do admire him. I would love to do it.’ Well, you can do it. I’m convinced there are lots of Fred Rogerses out there.”
