NET ZERO OVERVIEW Our path to Net Zero isn’t just a plan, it’s a promise to our planet, our people, and our partners. GAP is committed to achieving Net Zero in our operations by 2040 (Scope 1 and 2) and Net Zero across our supply chain (Scope 3) by 2050, however, will continue to work towards the ambition of reaching this in 2040. We are actively developing our Net Zero Roadmap in collaboration with third parties to deliver our strategies for reducing emissions.

Key Areas include:

GAP Vehicles:

GAP Hire Fleet:

Collaborating with suppliers to gather product emission data for informed purchasing decisions and moving towards a zero-carbon fleet with sustained demand for zero/ low- carbon emissions alternatives.

Transitioning towards a zero- carbon vehicle fleet through vehicle efficiency improvements, electrification, biofuels and hydrogen, as technology develops, and market conditions become feasible.

GAP Buildings and Facilities:

Move to only purchase 100% renewable electricity (we are currently at 95%) and to invest in technologies and measures across our buildings and operations to reduce energy and water consumption such as installing low carbon heating systems in new depots and aiming for decarbonised heating across all facilities.

GAP is committed to achieving Net Zero in our operations by 2040. “

Page 08

Page 09

Our Sustainability Plan outlines our proactive steps towards reducing both our own and our customers’ carbon footprints. We are committed to fostering a sustainable future in partnership with our customers, aiming to leave a positive impact on future generations through cleaner and more sustainable hire services. SUSTAINABILITY Through our Sustainability Policy, we aim to inspire our employees, supply chain partners, and customers to:

Our Board and senior management oversee these objectives, integrating sustainability principles into daily operations and fostering partnerships to enhance well-being and reduce environmental impact across our industry. Building a Sustainable Future Together

SUSTAINABLE PROCUREMENT PRACTISES

Expectations from our Supply Chain partners include: 01. 02. 03. 04. 05. 06. Compliance with local and national environmental policies. Provision of reliable carbon emissions data. Innovation of new carbon emission reduction technologies. Integration of climate-friendly solutions into business operations. Commitment to pollution prevention and waste minimisation. Promotion of behaviours that enhance the natural environment.

As a family-owned business, GAP is committed to longevity, sustainability, and climate action. We collaborate closely with our supply chain to develop solar, battery, and hydrogen products and actively engage with our customers on emerging technologies relevant to their sector.

RECENT DEVELOPMENTS AND INNOVATIONS

We’re proud of our achievements, including innovations like the Ecosmart ZERO Welfare Unit, leading the way in sustainable hire solutions. At GAP, we continue to drive innovation with environmentally friendly products and carbon emission measuring telematics. Our successful trials of HVO (hydrotreated vegetable oil) fuel across our fleet have confirmed its compatibility with Internal combustion engine rental products, paving the way for greener operations.

90% Emissions Reduction with HVO

Additionally, a two-year HVO trial in Jersey using commercial vehicles and hire fleet equipment yielded impressive results. The trial demonstrated a 90% reduction in CO2 emissions, with no adverse impact on vehicle reliability or performance. Our findings showed that vehicles running on 100% HVO experienced reduced particulate emissions, improved cold start performance, and required less frequent maintenance, particularly in terms of DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) regeneration. This trial further supports our commitment to reducing carbon footprints across our operations.

Page 14

Page 15

CARBON REPORTING PLAN We continue to invest in sustainable growth, by investing in our hire fleet and ongoing improvements in operational efficiency. We remain committed to reducing our carbon footprint by enhancing our services and operations. We annually record and verify our carbon emissions performance, ensuring transparency and accountability, as reflected in our Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting (SECR), which is available upon request. Our strong financial position and long-term planning ensure that we can continue to make strides in sustainability while delivering for our customers.

Transforming lives through apprenticeships

Our Modern Apprenticeship programme isn’t just about technical skills, it’s about personal growth and opportunity. Behind every apprentice is a story of ambition, and at GAP, we’re proud to support 80 apprentices across the UK as they shape their futures in roles like mechanical plant engineers, IT support analysts, customer service administrators, hire and sales coordinators, and more. This is more than just a pledge it’s our way of building a stronger future for individuals and the industry. GAP apprentices gain hands-on experience while developing teamwork, problem-solving and self-awareness. Many go on to mentor and support the next generation, building confidence and leadership along the way. This approach makes a GAP apprenticeship more than just a job, it’s a gateway to a fulfilling career in the hire industry.

GAP’s commitment to fostering talent is exemplified through our membership in The 5% Club, an industry-led campaign endorsed by the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) and the Government Department of Business, Innovation & Skills (BIS). As proud members, we pledge to have a minimum of 5% of our UK workforce enrolled in formalised apprenticeships, sponsored student programmes, or graduate development schemes within five years. To reach a wider audience, our recruitment team actively builds local partnerships with educational institutions, employability organisations, and government initiatives. We regularly attend career events, deliver talks at schools, and run advertising campaigns.

Discover exciting opportunities with GAP’s successful Apprenticeship Programme.

SUPPORTING MENTAL HEALTH AND WELLBEING

At GAP, we know that life can be challenging. That is why we are committed to fostering a culture where mental health is openly discussed, and employees feel supported at every step. Since 2018, our Mental Health Awareness Initiative has focused on breaking down the stigma surrounding mental health and encouraging conversations that matter.

In partnership with The Lighthouse Club, we provide access to the Construction Industry Helpline, a confidential 24/7 service available to all employees and their families across the UK and Ireland. To ensure help is always within reach, helpline cards are distributed to every employee, and awareness posters are displayed in all depots and offices.

Trained to Support Your Wellbeing

We’ve also trained a team of Mental Health First Aiders across our depots and offices. These dedicated individuals offer support, listen without judgment, and connect employees to further resources when needed.
