Our Modern Apprenticeship programme isn’t just about technical skills, it’s about personal growth and opportunity. Behind every apprentice is a story of ambition, and at GAP, we’re proud to support 80 apprentices across the UK as they shape their futures in roles like mechanical plant engineers, IT support analysts, customer service administrators, hire and sales coordinators, and more. This is more than just a pledge it’s our way of building a stronger future for individuals and the industry. GAP apprentices gain hands-on experience while developing teamwork, problem-solving and self-awareness. Many go on to mentor and support the next generation, building confidence and leadership along the way. This approach makes a GAP apprenticeship more than just a job, it’s a gateway to a fulfilling career in the hire industry.
GAP’s commitment to fostering talent is exemplified through our membership in The 5% Club, an industry-led campaign endorsed by the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) and the Government Department of Business, Innovation & Skills (BIS). As proud members, we pledge to have a minimum of 5% of our UK workforce enrolled in formalised apprenticeships, sponsored student programmes, or graduate development schemes within five years. To reach a wider audience, our recruitment team actively builds local partnerships with educational institutions, employability organisations, and government initiatives. We regularly attend career events, deliver talks at schools, and run advertising campaigns.
