Marc Marot “Scarlett and I realised that we had the opportunity to create something light following The Danger Tree, which was quite a dark project. Our connection to our audience lies in the emotional bond we are able to make with people, and what better place to start than with some of the world’s most emotive poetry? “This collection gave Scarlett the opportunity to develop her style and paint her beautiful forests, while allowing me to explore the words within the poetry. The pieces feature works from the likes of William Shakespeare, Walter de la Mare and William Blake to name but a few. “It’s a lovely segue from the dark materials of World War One into a new and brighter place as we enter a new decade and phase in our partnership as artists.”
