Paul Kenton has been busy creating dazzling cityscapes of London and New York on aluminium. In ‘Time To Reflect’, viewers may spot the angular silhouette of the Shard rising from the metropolis as blue and yellow hues light up London’s sky. Reflected back in the Thames, these fluid shapes juxtapose the harsh reality of the cityscape looming above. Paul adds: “This piece depicts that time at the end of the day when the low light cast brings the sky and land together in harmony. The golden light of the sunset glistens.” ‘New York Hustle’ sees layers of vibrant paint splashes and dripped lines capture the engulfing liveliness of Times Square. The fast-paced movement of taxis, flashing lights and bustling crowds of people allows Kenton to capture a panoramic snapshot of life in New York.
