Featuring a compilation of our favourite musical heroes, the series brings together a selection of iconic singers and bands from a range of eras and genres. Like any good mixtape, it’s eclectic but it’s one you’ll want to repeat over and over again. For Nigel, music brings a sense of nostalgia and he wanted to tap into this by depicting icons
instantly recognisable and related to people of all ages.
“It was good to do just a rock collection as this type of music is close to my heart. It brings back memories of visiting the Victoria Hall & Bingley Hall to see bands like Rush, Scorpions, Robert Plant. When painting I play the music of whoever I am painting as I feel that this helps me to bring out the character of each one.”
