announce the launch of our reformulated molded fiber product line that is free of intentionally added PFAS .
EFFECTIVE 01/01/2024 As of January 1, 2023, Washington, California, and New York have legislation banning the sale of foodservice packaging that contain intentionally added PFAS.
On January 1, 2024, Colorado, Connecticut, Maryland, Maine, Minnesota, and Rhode Island join the list with similar legislation.
WHAT’S NEW? New product codes, descriptions and product specifications are listed. In addition to those, we have changed the color to tan/natural to reflect the reformulated product line. We have also changed the master case from white to kraft to help customers easily identify newly formulated products.
PRODUCT UPDATES
The reformulated products will come in a tan/natural color to be reflective of the reformulation. Primeware’s reformulated molded fiber products with no-added PFAS meet rigorous 3rd party requirements for industrial compostability from the Biodegradable Products Institute (BPI).
Need To Know Will I be able to purchase the previous versions of the products? Customers in California, Washington, New York, Colorado, Connecticut, Maryland, Maine, Minnesota, and Rhode Island will only be able to purchase and sell the reformulated products that are free of intentionally added PFAS once legislation goes into effect. Your customer service representatives will be able to let you know if a product is no longer available to be sold in your region, and what the new product is. When will all of your products be reformulated and available for purchase in these states? We are staging the roll out of reformulated products beginning with the highest priority products first and will continue to introduce reformulated products.
