held! Man can no longer be considered an animal, any more than a canary bird can be called a fish! Simply stated, there is now a biological re-agent that will infallibly differentiate between tissues in the test tube, classifying matter as animal, or human. Regardless of whe ther the matter is living or dead; fresh or decomposed; bright, new, fresh blood or dried blood-stains; bone or muscle; skin, or any other section of what has been a vital creature; if this matter is placed in the receptacle, and the “ anti-human precipitin” is added, there is an instant Reac tion that states infallibly, “ This is human,” or,, “ This is animal.” The conclusion is inevitable and absolute. If there is, then, a chemical re-agent that will unerringly tell the dif ference between the structure of an animal and a human, how can ignorance any longer contend that the human is an animal? The demonstration-is a complete vindication of the inspiration of the words written by the Apostle Paul, for reason can see at a glance that the ancient writer could not have written biological fact nineteen centuries before that fact was discovered, unless the Spirit o f God had guided his pen. In the last days, when these four great confederations begin to move, around what point will their armies gather ? They will gather around the land of Palestine. And why will they want to center their activities at that particular point? If there is any one thing that the whole world wants, it is money. To any place where they think they can secure greater wealth, there will the people go. The nations of the earth are awaking to the fact that the little land of Palestine, nestling in the very center of the earth, is the wealthiest spot' in the whole world! At the bottom of the Dead Sea lie minerals that exceed in value all the gold in the vaults of America today. That is the reason why every nation has an eye on the land of Palestine. In that last great day there will be a scramble for it. The East will arise in her might; and with her millions of men she will move to possess the land which she thinks is rightfully hers. Her slogan will be, “ The East for the East.” Palestine is in the East; and when those armids come together, round about Palestine, the nation of Israel will be like a nut in a nut-crusher. “ Behold, the day of the Lord cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee. For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the house rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city” (Zech. 14 :1,2). Heaven will then take part in the struggle (Dan. 12:1). And hearken to this: “ Then shall the Lord go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle. And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof” (Zech. 14 :3 ,4 ). Thus the Son of God shall bring to an end “ the times of the Gentiles.” He shall sweep aside evil devices. Jehovah shall be King o f the whole earth! Israel shall look upon Him whom they have pierced and “ the Lord shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one Lord, and his name one” (Zech. 14:9). “ Democracy is nothing. The people are nothing and can do nothing. In every country they are weary of talk. They need men of action. They cannot save themselves; they need saviours.” Asked where the saviours were, Mussolini replied t “ There are no savioursl” “What then of the future?” he was asked. The reply was: “ I see a long series of political, economic, and military wars. There’s war now . . . Europe is drifting to disaster and Bolshevization.” But the Sun Still Shines As we sit down to write these lines, back here in an Ohio home, outside millions of people are gazing intently upward through smoked pieces of glass to watch the at tempt on the part of a little pygmy, called “ the moon,” to hide the face of the mighty sun from the earth. Hollow out that old sun, and throw the moon inside it, and it would rattle around inside like a birdshot inside a thousand-barrel steel tank! It would be laughable, were it not so sad, to watch these little peewee infidels of earth in their desperate attempts today to eclipse the Sun (Son) of God and pre vent Him from shining forth in His heavens! They may succeed for a few minutes on eternity’s clock, in casting a few shadows over the earth, but the Son of God shines on! And weary travelers will continue to walk in that light. We are not unaware that a great wandering star is going to move, one of these days in between our Christ and the world He created. For one brief hour, “ behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people” (Isa. 60 :2 ). Then Omnipotence in His wrath will arise and thunder forth His command :“ ARISE, O SUN !” Over a sinking,; despairing world, “ the Sun of righteous ness” shall arise, nevermore to go down. Light shall break forth that nevermore shall grow dim. Once before, the whole created earth “ became waste and empty,” and “ darkness was upon the face of the deep” (Gen. 1:2). A voice in the heavens cried: “ Let there be light” ; and “ LIGHT W AS ” ! Even thus shall it be again! The benighted world again awaits the morn. Even now the watcher for the first gleams of the dawn is watching not in vain. “ ARISE, O SON 1 THE ALPHABET OF SCIENCE [Continued from page 433] tience on the doorstep of scientific fact, waiting for her to arrive! Not only Moses, but the other writers o f the Book as well, bear out the biological inspiration and credibility o f this great volume. Biology attests the infallibility of the Bible wherever the two meet. As a closing instance, we will examine just one of the scientific facts of the Epistles of Paul. In 1 Corinthians 15:39, there is an exact instance to bear out this contention. Here the inspired writer said, “ All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another o f fishes, and another of birds.” That is a very exact and scientific state ment that biology disagreed with for long centuries. In pur own student days we were taught the famous “ conti nuity theory” and were taught to classify man with the ani mals. But such is no longer the scientific procedure, al though some teachers of biology are far behind current research knowledge, and do not know this view is no longer
