The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act was signed into law on December 22, 2017. It established Qualified Opportunity Zones throughout the United States. According to this new law, what is a Qualified Opportunity Zone? a. They are neighborhoods which are approved sanctuary towns and cities committed to welcoming refugees. b. They are geographic areas which Congress created to stimulate the economy through capital investment by foreign investors. c. They are regional areas along the east and west coasts designated by the President to spur development in artificial intelligence and block chain investments. d. They are low income census tracts located in each state characterized as economically distressed communities. e. They are cities with populations greater than 1,000,000 people that have under performing or vacant retail shopping centers in need of capital to revitalize and redevelop them.
