adventure, yet in a Christ-centered atmosphere for boys and girls.” Today the Radio Kids Bible Club is heard on more than 125 different radio stations around the world. To handle the multiplied duties his wife, Mrs. Betty Brumfield, is associate director and office manager. Both of the Brumfields give largely of their time sacrificially so that the work may go forward. One of the most fruitful ministries Radio Kids Bible Club has carried on is the intensive and carefully planned follow-up program. “We have a chil dren’s counsellor who is a Moody graduate supervising this ministry,” Mrs. Brumfield reports, “ using special material featuring the idea of ‘My Two Birthdays’ which is designed to help new converts grow in grace.” Frequently people ask Dr. Brum field why he uses the word “ kids” in the title of the program. “ I suppose there has been no one question that I have been asked more than that. People have felt that it was too frivo lous or to ‘slangy.’ We have discov ered, however, that the word is readily received by both the small children and youngsters up to junior high age. The title makes it interesting also to adults. But we can’t do things which are based bn adult reaction,” Dr. Brumfield stated. “We’re interested in child reaction. That’s why we use the name, Radio Kids Bible Club.” In looking toward the future, Dr. Brumfield states, “ One of our new (continued on next page)
