Job Title: Senior Business Systems Analyst

Main Function of Job: Responsible for: i F ti f J :

• Gaining a good understanding of all Ulaw courses and products, and processes around them, to become the subject matter expert within IT • Coordinating the introduction of new courses / products from business case to course completion • Working on a range of complex, business change projects • Gathering and analysing business requirements for both projects and change requests by leading client workshops and individual discussions with key stakeholders. • Producing Business Requirements Specifications to a high standard and obtaining sign-off from Business and Technical teams • Writing Functional Design Specifications in conjunction with the Technical team and obtaining sign-off from all stakeholders • Recruiting, Mentoring and supporting the Business Systems Analysts in the team • Supporting other project teams members with the overall solution delivery • Producing RFI / RFQ documents for the tender process for 3rd Party Suppliers and then managing implementation of 3rd party Solutions • Analysis, planning and change management for change requests

Project and Change Delivery

• Gather business requirements by individual meetings and workshops. • Document ‘as is’ and ‘to be’ business processes. • Produce Business Requirements Specifications to ULaw standard. • Produce RFI / RFQ documents to support the tender process where 3rd party solution is required. • Support business case production through the capture, analysis and prioritisation of benefits • Work with Solution Delivery team to propose appropriate solutions. • Produce Functional Design Specifications to ULaw standard. • Support the UAT process by identifying whether issues raised are actually change requests and ensuring these are logged against the project. Recruitment, Mentoring and Support • Mentor and support any new Business Systems Analysts in the team • Provide advice to other members of the team and wider IT department • Support development of training and knowledge sharing on ULaw Systems, business processes and Ulaw Project methodology Project Management • Provide input to the project plan on the analysis stages of a project • Report project progress to Project Manager, highlighting risks and issues • Manage own projects when required by producing project documentation and plans, assigning tasks, monitoring and reporting progress and regular project meetings. • Manage tender process and implementation of 3rd party solutions

• Develop an understanding of the business and how it functions keeping up to date with changes to business functions and processes. • Promote and sustain a constructive, supportive and friendly working relationship with all customers, external and internal, immediate and senior management and other work colleagues. • Assist with training all relevant staff in the usage of business systems to enable them to perform their duties to the best of their ability. Assistance with the creation of training programmes, exercises, manuals and instruction sheets. • Represent IT as a senior member of the team at Business meetings
