Round Square offers Christ’s College students the opportunity to embrace a global perspective. It provides learning opportunities, through connections with other Round Square schools, student exchanges, service projects and conferences. The Round Square IDEALS complement our school virtues of spirituality, learning, respect, compassion, honesty, justice and stewardship.
SIX IDEALS OF LEARNING
INTERNATIONALISM Our students have the opportunity to take part in student exchanges and travel to Round Square conferences where they meet people from all over the world. ENVIRONMENT We foster environmental awareness and have an active student-led Environment Committee. Projects include native tree planting and power saving initiatives on campus. LEADERSHIP We encourage our students to be responsible and thoughtful citizens. The Centre for Character & Leadership enhances our academic programme and and helps our students develop skills to live a meaningful life.
DEMOCRACY We empower the student voice at College through our Student Senate and House committees. All students can be confident their voice is heard.
ADVENTURE We offer a range of adventure activities for our students, including field trips, outdoor education and our unique Boarding Programme, as well as the Duke of Edinburgh’s Hillary Award. SERVICE We recognise the value of service and the power of giving. Our students take part in a variety of service projects, both in New Zealand and overseas, making a positive difference in the community.
