FOR THE BOYS, FOR OUR FUTURE A significant gift
Christ’s College Old Boy Marcel Gray, one of College’s most prolific sports sponsors and major contributor to the refurbishment of the Weights Room and Gymnasium, has now made a significant contribution to the For the boys, For our future fundraising campaign.
Marcel’s gift pledge will support the development of our new Sporting Excellence, Health and Wellbeing Centre, to be built in Cranmer Square, on the corner of Gloucester and Montreal streets. The centre will be a multi-purpose educational environment and will include basketball courts, a moving- water rowing tank, and strength and conditioning facilities, as well as wellbeing and health teaching spaces and a commercial kitchen. It is expected building will start in 2019. Director of Development Ric Fletcher says, “Marcel Gray’s gift to College is exceptional and transformational. His pledge to lead the way in building the new facility on the Cranmer site will guide College into a new era. This is extraordinarily generous and we are extremely grateful for his visionary contribution.” The For the boys, For our future campaign is the biggest fundraising venture Christ’s College has ever embarked upon. Since 1850, Christ’s College has prepared generation after generation of young men for success in an ever-changing world. For more information visit www.fortheboys.co.nz
