Mapleson Breathing Systems Breathing Systems are designed to deliver fresh gas to the patient and remove CO2, maintain spontaneous breathing without increasing the work of breathing and deliver a specific amount of anaesthetic gas agent to maintain anaesthesia.
Mapleson A Parallel Lack System 22mm lightweight corrugated tubes with a 2 litre closed tail reservoir bag and APL valve. This system requires low-flow (0.8 - 1 times the minute volume. Approximately 6 - 8 litres per minute). Suitable for patients 10kg and over.
Mapleson D Bain Coaxial System 22mm lightweight corrugated tube with 2 litre closed end reservoir bag and APL valve (60cmH 2 O). Mainly used with ventilated patients. A high gas flow of 2 - 4 times the patients minute volume is required (very inefficient for spontaneous breathing). Controlled ventilation Mapelson D’s are very efficient.

Mapleson F Ayres T-Piece Paediatric Circuit With APL Valve 10mm corrugated tube with 0.5L closed tail reservoir bag. 15mm M + 15F/6-9mm flexible connector. Fresh gas flow rate 2 to 2.5 times patients minute volume. Suitable for smaller patients up to 7kg. Connector to fit this is 010-671.
Yankauer Suction Tube Effective suction without aspiration of surrounding tissue, and a choice of with or without fingertip vacuum control. Transparent, with a smooth inner lumen for uninterrupted suctioning and rapid passage of material.

Oxygen Bubble Tubing Universal Oxygen Bubble Tubing has funnel ends/female connectors and attaches easily to most fittings. This 30m coil comes in a dispensing box and can be cut to required lengths with a bubble every 1m.
Please note: This is not for use with anaesthesia rigs.
