PREDUZEĆE ZA CIVILNI VAZDUŠNI SAOBRAĆAJ „AEROPUT“ osnovano je 17. juna 1927, kao 10. kom- panija u Evropi i 21. u svetu. Prvi direktor bio je Ta- dija Sondermajer, zahvaljujući kome je kompanija na samom teškom početku uspela da zaživi, a ko- ji je obavio i prvi zvanični let na relaciji Beograd–Za- greb. Avioni „Aeroputa“ stigli su na Vazdušno prista- nište Beograd početkom februara 1928. godine. Uprava kompanije je kupila četiri aviona dvokrilca „potez 29/2“, a prvi promotivni let obavljen je na li- niji Beograd–Zagreb 15. februara 1928. godine. Avi- on pod imenom „Beograd“ poleteo je u devet ča- sova ujutru, pod komandom Tadije Sondermajera i Vladimira Striževskog. Prvi putnici bili su novinari i foto-reporteri, njih petoro iz beogradskih redakci- ja. Nakon dva sata leta po tmurnom vremenu avion je sleteo na aerodrom „Borongaj“ prethodno napra- vivši nekoliko krugova iznad Zagreba. Dočekali su ga građani i predstavnici vlasti, a istog dana u po- podnevnim časovima grupa zagrebačkih novinara doletela je u Beograd. Na liniji Beograd–Zagreb avi- oni „Aeroputa“ su tokom prve godine leteli svakog dana, osim nedelje, sve do novembra, kada je, zbog zimskih uslova, avio-saobraćaj prekinut. I pored vi- soke cene karte i straha putnika od letenja, odziv je bio veći od očekivanog!
AIR TRANSPORTATION COMPANY AEROPUT was established on 17 th June 1927 as the 10 th such company in Europe and the 21 st in the world. The first director of Ae- roput was Tadija Sondermajer, thanks to whom the com- pany succeeded in coming to life and who conducted the first official flight, along with Captain Striževski, from Bel- grade to Zagreb. Aeroput’s first planes arrived at the Belgrade Airport in early February 1928. Aeroput’s management bought four “Potez 29/2” type biplanes and the first promotional flight was conducted between Belgrade and Zagreb on 15 th Fe- bruary 1928. The aircraft, under the name “Beograd”, to- ok to the skies at 9am, under the command of company Tadija Sondermajer and Vladimir Striževski. The first pas- senger were journalists and photojournalists, with the five of them coming from the Belgrade media scene. After a two-hour flight through gloomy weather, the plane landed at Borongaj Airport, but not before making a couple of laps above Zagreb. It was greeted by a large number of citi- zens and representatives of the athorities, and that same afternoon saw a group of Zagreb journalists fly to Belgra- de. During those first years Aeroput flew the Belgrade-Za- greb route every day except Sundays, all the way un- til November, when winter weather conditions led to the suspending of air traffic. And despite the high price of tic- kets and passengers’ fear of flying, the response was gre- ater than expected!
