With two floors of individually designed private events spaces, The Walmer Castle in Notting Hill (sister to The Surprise pub in Chelsea and The Carpenter’s Arms in Chiswick) is perfect for weddings of all sizes. The characterful rooms designed by Isabella Worsley include the impressive Lonsdale room with its striking Georgian proportions and private bar, seating up to 50 guests for a long lunch or dinner, or 100 for a larger soirée with canapés and cocktails. The smaller – but no less inviting – Westbourne room on the second floor of The Walmer Castle, is a more intimate space that feels as though you’re in a beautiful private home with a bespoke dining table designed by local craftsman Matthew Cox that can seat up to 20 for lunch or dinner.
