HIGH FIVES
SAFE From: Jeff Ward, Boise To: Fruitland Door Shop
area to help me while I nurse a strained shoulder. Never saying no and always ready to learn whatever comes his way, he has been awesome in the three months he has been here! Thank you, Jordan, for being a team player! GUIDE
Hello, I would like to give a safety high-five to the crew in the Fruitland Door Shop! There is a tangible sense of joy among the crew and a smoothness to the operation as a result of many incremental improvements. Under the leadership of Ian Beane, the entire staff has taken a holistic approach to achieving excellent production results while keeping the crew happy. One of the key components, Ian explained, is balancing the workload throughout the week. Too much work on one day creates a rushed atmosphere, and it leads to a tired crew the next day. If there is a last-minute job someone wants to add to the day’s production, Ian will ask the employees if it can be done safely before saying yes. Communicating clear expectations of what needs to get done for the day allows the staff to set a sustainable pace and avoid being in a rush. This also answers the question of, “Did we win today?” The neat and orderly condition of the shop is a result of engaged employees who truly care, and it eliminates many hazards when there is a “place for everything.” Ian and I overheard jovial laughter among the crew as we were talking, and Ian remarked, “That is the greatest reward of all, happy employees.” STRIVE
From: Alex Evans, Caldwell To: Jim Priess, Caldwell
Shoutout to Jim Priess, one of our owners who’s been with this company for 25 years, installing and continuing to wow our customers. I received a very pleasant phone call from one of our consistent builders, Mr. Mike Milward, who informed me that Jim and his crew did an excellent job installing a unique garage door. The door is a very unusual size of 24 feet long by 8 feet tall. Jim not only did everything necessary to complete this installation in outstanding condition and in incredible time, but he also went above and beyond in taking care of Mr. Milward. Mike said, “Jim and his crew did an outstanding job; he deserves extra recognition for this installation. Keep up the good work, team.” WOW
From: Dustyn Casady, Boise To: Tristan Schneider and Cody Casady
Caldwell Tristan Schneider and Cody Casady generously donated their time to help the LEAN Coordinator for installed sales. With their help, we were able to complete or make great progress in four LEAN projects. That same day, they also helped unload and put away a truck order for Overhead Door. I was impressed and grateful for the work we completed. And by helping complete the LEAN projects, they have taken part in creating a more LEAN workspace.
From: Derek Taylor, Boise To: Jordan Crow, Boise
I would like to give a high-five to Mr. Jordan Crow. He has been such a huge help these past two weeks. He’s gone out of his load building
