Medical crisis often takes patients and families away from their own home in search of specialized treatment. To lessen the burden, the Open Arms Foundation provides a “ home away from home ” at no cost for those facing this situation. Open Arms homes are fully-furnished apartment homes stocked with linens, kitchen items and other miscellaneous necessities. The Open Arms Foundation is the corporate charity of MAA, and the heart of our company . MAA generously donates the majority of rent for Open Arms homes. However, it takes fundraisers and payroll contributions from MAA teams and associates to help open and furnish new homes, refurbish existing homes, provide all basic utilities and cover the remainder of rent payments. Every dollar raised gets us closer to helping another guest . Please consider Open Arms in your charitable giving by signing up for, or increasing, your payroll deduction contribution during Open Enrollment or at any time during the year through your Benefits worklet in Workday.
