LED PISCES 3

LED Pisces 3 is a new submersible, pendant, fish cage illuminator from the popular Pisces range of cage lighting. The luminaire embodies a 300 watt LED array, offering an output closely resembling natural daylight . It is self contained, streamlined and corrosion proof. LED light output and service life can be significantly degraded by overheating. The new Pisces incorporates a heatsink that is designed and optimised using 3D thermal simulation and tested in a thermally controlled/monitored submersion tank leading to a prolonged life in service compared to other lights on the market. The Pisces range is designed for vertical suspension with a lifting eye alongside the cable entry point. The power feed cable uses a polyurethane jacket to protect against corrosion and abrasion by fish stock. The LED driver housing is top-side to reduce the voltage delivered to the submersed luminaire (for safety and ease of handling).

Lumens @ Efficacy:

37,000 lm typ. @ 121lm/W [1] (34,000 min), 300W unit

CCT ( Colour Temperature ):

4000K

Lifetime:

50,000hrs @ 15°C (water temperature) 2080 days @ 15°C (water temperature)

Unit Weight:

10kg (air)

Illumination Angle:

240 0

The luminaire is designed to reduce

light pollution . Although some light is transmitted upwards, it does so above the critical angle for reflection at the water surface and so in calm conditions the majority of the stray light will be reflected back down

High performance LED drivers are used to eliminate flicker and improve LED lifetime .

Accelerated growth and shorter production times. Dusk and dawn simulation to reduce fish stress

Heat- sink designed

to allow downward illumination. Light is emitted sideways and

downwards to reduce light pollution and encourage

fish activity at a lower level to suppress lice infestation .

*Dimmable LED controllers are available at request but not currently included in the base model.

LED PISCES 3 - Tech Sheet: GA5973-14

General • Submersible Luminaire • Like-for-like replacement of BGB PISCES 400

• Sideward and downward illumination • Designed for continuous illumination

Light Output • Luminous Flux: 37,000 lm (Typical); 34,000 lm (Minimum) • Luminous efficacy > 112 lm/W • Nominal CCT: 4000 K • CRI: 90 • Minimal upward illumination to reduce light pollution • 70% light output at 50,000 hours (compared < 10,000 hours for metal halide and < 25,000 for fluorescent)

Environmental • Up to 30m depth. • For submersion only • Water temperature 1 to 20°C

Electrical • Mains supply to shoreside driver case by customer cable: 90-305 VAC, 47-63 Hz 3.5 A at 115 VAC, 1.65 A at 230 VAC, 1.45 A at 277 VAC (Typical) Cold start inrush current 70A at 230VAC Maximum three(two) units on 16 A type C(B) circuit breaker • DC low voltage supplied to the luminaire via a polyurethane cable Mechanical • IP68 • Weight (in air): 10 kg ¦ Weight (in water): 8kg • Composite top section with eyelet for mounting chain/rope • Lens material: Borosilicate Glass • Heatsink material: Aluminum coated with resin bonded subsea

application anti-corrosion layer • Remainder: plastic/composite materials

Upward beam angle is greater than (69°) critical angle (49°) for internal reflection/ transmission from a water/ air boundary. This reduces

light pollution whilst maintaining sideways illumination
