These are big decisions and I encourage you to do as much research as you can and take advantage of the opportunities to gain first-hand experience. Through A&O First – our programme for first-years – and our Vacation Schemes, you can explore the role of a lawyer and develop your understanding of our firm. We think these opportunities will provide you with valuable insights but you don’t have to have done one of our programmes to apply for a Training Contract – around half of our trainees applied directly to us with no previous experience of the firm.
