INQUIRY QUESTION The Mongol Empire stretched from Europe to the Pacific Ocean. What allowed the Mongols to spread their influence? What was the way of life in Mongolia, and what impact did they have on the world? The Genghis Khan Equestrian Statue, a stainless steel statue of Genghis Khan (Temujin) in Mongolia. It is the largest equestrian statue in the world. The Empire of the Great Khan spread further than any other empire before, dwarfing the conquests of Greece and Rome. From the Pacific Ocean to the east of Asia to the Mediterranean, people under Mongol rule knew peace. Old learning and new ideas spread and the foundations of the modern world were established.
