Lake Mungo in the Willandra Lakes Region of New South Wales has revealed evidence of continuous human settlement by Australia’s Aboriginal Peoples. The Willandra Lakes Region is a World Heritage area, important for its archaeology and geomorphology. It holds deep cultural significance to Australia’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples.
