18.2 SkillBuilder activity COMMUNICATING Australia, like many countries, has some unusual laws. An internet search for ‘weird and wonderful laws in Australia’ will give you some more information. Remember to chose a stable site such as the ABC or Parliamentary Education Office. 1. Working with a partner, select one weird law that appeals to you both. 2. Investigate your chosen law and make notes on the following: a. Explain what is this law is about. b. Suggest why it was made. c. In your opinion, state whether we need this law. Justify your point of view. 3. Identify the characteristics of an effective law.
