It makes use of an animal’s natural behavior in a way that keeps both animals and plants healthy, meeting the needs of each. Using a chicken house to prepare a bean field is one example. Chickens walk around in the house and peck the soil and eat weeds, which is their natural behavior. So this helps the chickens get food to eat, and helps the soil for the beans because it removes weeds.
